Pensamiento Espiritual* (*Spiritual Thought): 1 Cor. 10: 13
Most productive Pday ever! We deep cleaned the house, I finished recuerdos* (*memories) for hnas* (*sisters), reorganized everything, had a lunch of quinoa and a veggie shake, and did yoga. :D Most productive and recharging pday* (*preparation day) yet! :) We had a noche de hogar* (*Family Home Evening) with a member, Miriam! It was a bit discouraging because we invited investigators and they all fell through, but God had His own plan and Miriam really needed us today. :) I’m grateful for God's overarching knowledge and the Spirit to guide us. :)
Tuesday began with a great district meeting on the importance of metas* (*goals)! After lunch, we visited Luz, new investigator, and got to know her! Luego* (*Then), Leonardo had his baptism interview and passed with flying colors! :D We taught him and his mother Mary about the priesthood. :) Despues* (*Then), we had a noche de hogar de las hermanas* (*Family Night with the Sister Missionaries) here in Tambo! :D We all presented ourselves and why we came out on the mission. Then we all bore our testimonies. :) It was super powerful and I was grateful to get to know mis hijitas* (*my daughters). :D The Concepcion and Jauja sisters stayed the night and one urgently needed a blessing, so the elders of Mariscal came and helped her a ton. The Priesthood is so real and so helpful. :)
Miercoles* (*Wednesday)! Today, we found 4 new investigators- Teresa, Sonia, Nicolas, and Eduardo! :D Teresa contacted us the other day. We got to know them. :) Nicolas and Eduardo remind me lots of myself - haha. They were today's miracle! We then visited Jeny, Kiara, and Lucero (investigators) and talked about the LDM* (*Book of Mormon) before going to Jesica's (miembro* (*member)) and talking about how she can help her seminary class! :D We finished the day visiting Aguira and Guillermo, investigators, and talking a bit about the Restoration. :D
En Jueves* (*On Thursday), we journeyed to Concepcion in the morning to check up on their room! :) After lunch, we visited Teresa and Nicolas, investigators, and taught them about faith. :) We contacted lots before heading to a noche de hogar* (*Family Home Evening) with Xiara and Juan, members, and Fernando, less active! We talked about the tender mercies of the Lord, repentance, and forgiveness. :) Good day! Officially hit 13 months today. TIME FLIES PEOPLE.
Friday! :D A bittersweet day. The best of times and the worst of times. In the tarde* (*afternoon), we taught Fam. Tantavilca, menos activos* (*less actives), and read the LDM with them before talking to the dueña* (*home owner) about our house contract. Then came the worst of times. Leonardo fell through. He's never done that! And it was raining really hard. ah. then came the BEST of times. :) We visited Bryan, new investigator, and his wife Estefani, member, and taught them about the LDM and talked lots and got to know them! :D Bryan wants to get married and baptized. QUE BENDICION* (*What a blessing). :) They even made us pancakes! Les quiero* (*I loved it). :D
En Sabado* (*On Saturday), we visited Sonia, investigator, and talked about the importance of families before contacting up a storm! :) Luego* (*Then), we visited Lily and Mayara, new investigators, and taught them a bit about Christ and the LDM* (*The Book of Mormon)! We then taught English class and visited Rosario, MA, and talked about family history! :) We then visited Jesica, investigator, and taught her family history as well. :) The spirit of Elias is in Huancayo! :D
Domingo* (*Sunday)! :) We had 4 investigators come to church today! :) In the tarde* (*afternoon), all of our citas* (*appointments) fell through, so we visited Obispo Willy and his wife Loysi and Obispo taught me a bit of violin. :) Happy day!
Well, Peru is in a huaico* (*mud slide/flooding) crisis right now. :( so that made internet not work for a while, sorry I'm writing late! BUT were super blessed here in Huancayo and it only affects us in Internet and phone service. :) BUT WERE GOOD! Just pray for Peru, please. We need it.
Con amor y mis oraciones para siempre jamas* (*With love and my prayers forever and ever),
Hermana Schmid
