Pensamiento Espiritual* (*Spiritual Thought): 1 Peter 2: 9
Today was the most relaxing pday* (*preparation day) in a while! :D My tender mercy? ROSA CASTRO, from Oxa, got her mission call to Bolivia La Paz El Alto! :D Such happiness and love for her. I made tacos for my comp and I for lunch, Hermana Esparza cut her hair short, and we rested- great P-day. :) At night, we had a noche de hogar* (*Family Home Evening) with Otilia and her family, members, about how God can change the hearts of all of us. :)
Martes* (*Tuesday)! We went to our investigator LinSu in the morning and got to know her! She really wants to get baptized, so we're working towards March for her. :) After lunch, we visited Kiara and Lucero, investigators, and shared a bit about the Plan de Salvacion* (*Plan of Salvation)! We then took Cristhian, our new ward mission leader's assistant, with us to visit Leonardo and his mother Mary, investigators! We taught them about the Restauracion* (*Restoration) and Mary shared with us that when we come, she feels a special peace and tranquilidad* (*tranquility). The Spirit is influencing her life so much! :D I'm excited to see their progress. :)
On Wednesday, we went to Jauja to check up on the sisters' room! After lunch, we decided to dedicate the better part of the day to contacting and looking for old investigators! We set a few citas* (*appointments) out of it. :) Luego* (*Then), we went to Paula, investigadora* (*investigator), and started just talking. I felt really strongly to ask her why she wanted to be baptized and she just started to cry because she knows it is true. Her mom doesn't think she´s quite prepared yet, but it really is el deseo de su Corazon*(*the desire of her heart). :) She's so great!
En Jueves*(*On Thursday), we started the day off with a fantastic district meeting on being the light for others! :) We ended up contacting a member reference in the tarde* (*afternoon) and helping a viejita* (*old lady) with heavy bags before going to Paula, our investigator! We read 2 Nefi 31 with ella* (*her) before going to Leonardo, Mary, and Claudia, investigators, and explaining the introduction to the LDM* (*Book of Mormon). They're just brilliant.:) We finished up the day visiting Jesica and Fernando, less actives, and talking about testimonies. :) Just a genuinely good day! :)
Friday! We spent the morning in Chupaca helping the sisters move to a new room and egged Elder Jorgensen for his birthday! :) After lunch, we had weekly planning before visiting our investigators Jeny, Kiara, and Lucero and talking about the importance of faith and acts. We then visited Otilia, member, and her husband Lucho, new investigator!, and made pizza with them! :D they're great! Luego* (*Then), we watched Meet the Mormons with Paula, investigator, and Fabricio, converso* (*convert). :)
On Saturday, we officially closed Mariscal Castilla* (*Mariscal Castilla area) for hermanas* (*sister), moving all their stuff. Que triste* (*how sad). :( After lunch, we had to pass through Carnaval* (*Carnival)! Ah. QUE MIEDO* (*Very Scary!). there was a group of jovenes* (*young people) covered in paint that saw us, pointed at us, and ran toward us to get us with paint! So we got some more exercise in running away and they didn't get us. :D We visited Lyn, member, and talked about conversion before we had English class! We had correlacion despues* (*correlation meeting afterwards) and then picked up the sisters finishing their missions. :)
Sunday! After consejo* (*counsel meetings) and church, both fantastic, we visited Sonia, less active, who's having some family troubles and talked to her comforting her. :) Then we ended up walking to the OTHER extreme of our area and found a cool graffiti wall and stopped to take a picture. and I got the cambios* (*transfers/changes) call. Turns out I'm staying in Tambo as hna lider* (*sister leader), co-district leader (I'm going to help give the trainings), and (drumroll)..... I'M TRAINING! :D I thought I would never train! I’m gonna have an HIJA* (*DAUGHTER)! :D And Hna Esparza's going to mi selva* (*my jungle), Villa Rica. :) We spent the rest of the night saying goodbye to the members and packing Esparza's stuff. Adventure awaits. :D
